The Office of Economic Development is committed to countywide economic development.
The mandate for this office is to provide rich business resources for the creation, growth, and recruitment of companies to Iron County and Cedar City while focusing on community strengths, resources, and environment. SCORE Utah provides free and confidential business advice to entrepreneurs working to start new businesses and grow existing businesses . Our chapter is 50+ strong and provides workshops for the small business start-up and exisiting business.

Our volunteers are successful real-world business professionals who volunteer thousands of hours to help existing and startup businesses succeed. Our volunteers are experts with experience in areas such as; accounting, finance, human resources, consulting, import/export, law, operations, production, retail, wholesale, manufacturing, sales, marketing, management, business plan preparation, strategic planning and many other business disciplines.

We offer free business mentoring to all those interested in having or running a business.  Whether you are starting a new business, growing or experiencing problems an existing business, our experienced business mentors can provide advice to help you succeed. Your mentor will meet with you one-on-one as frequently as necessary to define and analyze your business needs and opportunities.
